| Tata Sky is very costly and charges for every other thing Posted: 23 Oct 2010 02:58 AM PDT I called up tatasky to enquire about the "Don't pay during vacation" option. I was informed that they charge Rs. 20 to subscribe for that as well and they can stop the service only for anything between 5 and 15 days only. If they were to give this option they should have given in for upto 30 days. Also, they have put a condition that optional packs need to be subscribed for a minimum of 90 days which is again unfair. Guess its time to move to a new provider. Any suggestions on other DTH providers guys!!

| Posted: 23 Oct 2010 02:11 AM PDT from your screenshot it seems the problem isnt that of a DNS. You dont seem to have connectivity. No IP address assigned. Well it says too 'Status: Not Connected.' am not sure what the real problem is. But for a DNS problem you can use a public DNS like 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.1 (manually enter in your network setting) and see if your connection works. I doubt it will. But if its just a DNS problem then the step above should solve it.

I think, later on switching over from standard STB to HD STB wud be a lengthy process rite? Thats why, i m simply waiting!! ---------- Post added at 02:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:09 PM ---------- And i wont even jump on to other providers coz - 1) Your package has the most no. of channels to suit my needs 2) That too, is well within costs 3) The services like - Active Music, Active Darshan, Mosaic, and all are available with you people under a single roof.....only thing missing is (Oops was) HD..... 4) Best thing - your customer support - Be it call centre, or the e-mail help, or this new gen avatar - on facebook, or these kind of forums......just shows how committed you all are!! Thats y i consider its worth waiting for you people - i cant jump on to other providers at all!! Its just a matter of few days, and that is very much acceptable!!
