dude paid services are unreliable as well.

i suggest imgur because i have talked to the guy running that service. it's profitable and is pretty huge now. in fact, stackoverflow is now using them as their default image hosting service.

External TV tuner for Laptop

Hi,
I am planning to get an external TV tuner for my laptop - Dell Studio 1530
And I plan on getting an Airtel DTH connection for it.

The requirements:
Should work over USB
Preferably with a longish cable included so I can sit on the bed and watch
Not too expensive hopefully
Decent/above average picture quality

My questions:
How is the audio handled in such case? do we plug the audio back in via a line in cable? or is it included in the USB feed?
Any good brands/model numbers suggested
Any particular dealers in Secunderabad/Paradise area, whom I can get it from.

I am no person holding a BE degree
am only studying for it
what he said is port binding for sure
but port binding is no answer
try port forwarding might help

i do face face same problems during playing games
i dunno much about mtnl
but
you could try changing to different DNS
i changed it to OpenDNS from BSNL's own and i did get some
improvements.
Also try your hand at port forwarding and proper ip, setup in your router!

Zyxel INDIA have not been responsive enough (however reps from Taiwan, UK and USA have been harassing me by Twitter, Skype and Email every time I complain about India's shitty customer service though), and the device we had our mind set on wouldn't work on our network (running GPON, not active - mostly due to electrical requirements).

You can ask them about it - in fact, it may even better if the society requests us to lay cables there, because then your entire society can be wired up from scratch and pushing through the paperwork to get it done can be easier.

Let me know what the result of you asking about it is and we'll work from there: there is A LOT of demand in Navi Mumbai and I'm not sure myself why it's been a slow process laying cables out there while areas like Mulund are nearly blanketed.

There have already been some (not very good) speedtest results posted in this thread - I think about page 6, 7 or 8.

If memory serves, we can do only wireless in Navi Mumbai at present - though that information may be somewhat outdated, so I'll have to check.
