Posted: 16 Aug 2010 01:54 AM PDT I have been using Magic Jack since last two year and it works fine for me in India. Magic Jack can be using anywhere in the world by using broadband connection to make and receive call from anywhere. the unlimited outgoing call to US/canada is included in yearly subscription which is approx $20 per year. if you are in USA wanted to use Magic Jack to call India number, you can buy credit.

Posted: 16 Aug 2010 01:11 AM PDT I'm using a DVB-S PCI card (LightWave SkyView 2). Its a DVB-S card and since DD is using DVB-S and not S2 for their HD transmission I can receive the channel along with all other SD channels. Software in the screenshot is DVB Dream.
BSNL Broadband self care portal is a disaster Posted: 16 Aug 2010 12:59 AM PDT 16/8/2010 In selfcare , >>my services>>view broadband usage, i am getting it as on 11th !! It was about 48 hours old till date ! Now it is worse !! Users must get CURRENT counter reading. The new SAP is working at SNAIL's pace !! Incidentally, the BBUsageSessionDetails+list.xls!! file supplied, CAN be imported in open office/excel with "separated by" = <> and "delimiter" = <> ; then delete extra columns and save as xls

Finally applied to beam telecom broadband Posted: 16 Aug 2010 12:08 AM PDT Merc I am in the Himayatnagar area as far as I know Beam is pretty much every where around Hyderabad & Secunderabad area. Quick Update its been 2 days no downtime yet (I know its too early to say anything but just updating) speeds are great to asian servers but I have noticed that to the US servers its been not that great, just getting around 2 Mbps download to servers based in the US and around 1 - 1.4 Mb uploads. Here as my test results for servers around the US Dallas New York Washington DC In Asia Bombay Singapore ![]() Well if there are any other beam users reading this threat, please upload your speedtest results for servers based in the US, also noticed that for many servers in the US I am just getting around 500 - 700 kbps upload speeds.
