Im using photon plus for 3+ years. i went to showroom to upgrade to max. they asked me to surrender my current data card and pay 1999Rs for photon max data card, the 1999 will be reduced from next 12 monthly bill. i asked them to just upgrade without paying as im almost 4yr post paid customer but they denied. so i decided to take a new data card instead which is only 1299Rs + il keep my old data card which i can unlock or sell to others. but if i do this il loose 4yr loyality grrr. well anyway, then i checked the plans on both prepay and postpaid. prepay plans stunned me, it not even close to post pay plan, for eg: prepaid 750rs 3GB Vs postpaid 750rs 10GB. so any idea why prepay so sucky?

Huawei E8221 Data Card - Not able to find the network

Guys,

I bought Huawei Power-Fi E8221 Data Card from Snapdeal on 24th May 2014.

I used aircel sim in this datacard for 3g internet.

 

I found strange behaviour of this card. When I used aircel sim card in this datacrad, it showed a message as below

"No service

Not able to find the network. Please retry later or search for networks from the network settings page."

 

Then I removed the sim from the datacard and insert into my mobile and then remove from mobile and insert into datacard again.

It worked as expected.

 

But I have to do the above step every time when I power off my datacard.

 

Any solution for this or other users are also facing the same issues.

Is it a known issue???

Free Whatsapp/Facebook/Twitter + Data is a much better idea, than whatsapp only plans. So long as rcom, in standing with its 'reputation' does not deduct data for whatsapp/fb/twitter from the data pack, these plans are quite decent. Ex. 90+90=180, effectively gives 2GB for 30 days.

Low Speed with BSNL Home Combo ULD 999

I recently changed my plan to Home Combo ULD 999 with 8 Mbps FUP 60 GB then 2 Mbps. The plan was activated yesterday. Upon testing it with Speedtest.net, I get about 3.5 Mbps down, 0.35 Mbps up. The actual download speed is approx 470 Kbps so about 3.7 Mbps. I've tried attaching the line cable directly to the modem which doesn't change anything. I've attached the stats from Modem page.

 

Is there any fault in the stats ?

How do i submit a request for change of ip address in bsnl? The 117 ip pool gives me latency for 300++ in asian servers(Singapore), whereas the 64 ip pool gives me a latency of only 45 ms!
There is a problem with my ip pool, and the people at the server refuse to change it saying that the 64 ip pool is for buisness users?
Please any help will do, i have been lagging for 1 month 7 days now and the people at the server rooms have been more than useless ( they havent picked up my calls for 4 days now , Simply ignoring it)

You know how it goes, you buy a phone on eBay, and it comes with a developer / pre-release version of a major mobile OS. Well, if these images are to be believed, that's at least what happened to one bargain-hunting Windows Phone fan. The screenshots -- said to be taken from a Nokia 920 -- show Windows Phone 8, but with a few new tweaks and features. Most notable, will likely be the notifications, but other tidbits include App list ordering based on frequency of use, week view in the calendar and the option to kill apps from the multitask screen. The phone reports a build number of: 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407 leading some to infer that this version could have been compiled sometime in May. A tease of something to come? As always, hard to tell, but expect the price of second-hand 920s to bump up a little, for the next few weeks at least.

This begins a series of lunchbox notes between Saajan and Ila, and the mere comfort of communicating with a stranger anonymously soon evolves into an unexpected friendship. Gradually, their notes become little confessions about their loneliness, memories, regrets, fears, and even small joys. They each discover a new sense of self and find an anchor to hold on to in the big city of Mumbai that so often crushes hopes and dreams.
