Ok , so here it goes .

Im using Alliance since 2008 ... Since 2008-2010 i lived in Naktala area near Garia at South Calcutta and during that time i used the zoom plus package .

Their service was really good . Especially by the local providers/technicians who came and fixed my problems whenever i faced any slow net speed issues .

Anyway that is history now .  And like there's a saying "all good things comes to an end" , the momment i shifted from my Naktala residence to my Usha Gate residence all good things did come to an end.

 

In usha gate area , the speed wasn't that good at first but it was ok . As the years rolled by things got worse .

This year (Feb 2014 - Mar 2014) the normal upload/download speed i got is the crappiest .

Too much of fluctuation in speed . Most of the time my downloads failed bcoz of heavy fluctuations .

According to zoom plus package i should be getting 48 kbps - 55 kbps download speed , but the speed dropped to 30kbps -17kbps after every few seconds and so the downloads failed ;(

Please note my friends , there was no ping loss .

Even my anti-virus updates failed due to heavy fluctuations.

I reported this issue to the customer care and they couldn't figure out the source of this problem .

They checked my Pc via remote support , came to my house with their lappy but nothing . No solution to this problem.

 

After all this i decided to upgrade to Premium package which offers -

1MB Bandwidth = 128kbps normal download speed.

6MB Bandwidth (1am - 9pm) = 753kbps normal download speed.

 

But instead of getting such promised speed , all im getting is 50kbps to 80kbps . not even close to 100kbps . And the same im getting in happy hours (1am - 9pm)

 

I complained more than a dozen times but no luck ;(

 

Any of you guys facing such fluctuation problems ?

Any good Photon plans that you can recommend. Does photon offers the promised speed.

Im a heavy uploader downloader . Each month the minimum i would download/upload is 40GB of data. Thanks.

Pc not booting up

Had to shift pc to another room. So opened the CPU and slightly dusted off the dust.plugged it back in but pc was slow ..suddenly getting BSODs after using it for 5 mins. Then get notifications that windows recovered from unknown error. Then I opened CPU again and made sure all plugs are properly fitted. Now it won't even boot up, pc starts ..fan spins at full speed but it won't boot up. Need help. Did I mess up anything when I opened it?

The format for the men's event in next year's tournament has been changed following an increase in teams from 12 to 16. As the teams' seeding are based on the T20I Team Rankings as on October 8, 2012, the top eight sides following the conclusion of last ICC World Twenty20 will play directly in the Super 10 stage and India is one such side.
 
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, which finished outside the top eight, will participate in the first round that will be held from 16-21 March. The first round of the men's event will include eight sides that will be divided into two groups of four teams each, with the table-toppers progressing to the Super 10 stage.

High Ping in airtel broadband !

I'm an online gamer and i shifted from "tikona" internet to "Airtel" b'coz i heard that it's a good broadband connection to have. I was happy with Airtel connection for first 20-30 days but suddenly my ping rose by 100-200 in U.K servers to 440 (i used to get 200 ping with tikona in U.K sv) and in France sv to 320 ( again i used to get 180 in france sv ) . I don't know what to do , when i call customer care and ask them for help they simply excuse me by saying " it's the U.K and France sv problem  and that's not true cause all my other friends  have low pings than me. I don't know what to do , plzz help me guys , should i change my isp , anyone having the same problem????

Hey guys, I just tried Rs 26,100 MB 3g plan of Idea.Wow it was just awesome.I got 4.5 mbps..I want to know there is there any Idea prepaid plan or post paid tht is unlimited and gives good speed.My budget is under Rs1000 . I am currently using SH*TSNL, my father said that I can move to another ISP if its possible the budget is under 1000.I am currently using BSNL 800ULD plan combo that gives 1Mbps till 6 GB and then  512 Kbps.

recently i got this spectranet connection. They did underground fiber optic cabling and started the service called spectranet FOX in my area. the plan is 12 to 16 mbps  for 6 months. looking at the speeds they will provide, i got my airtel BB service discontinued.

 

I AM HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH THE CONNECTION.

 

 1) promised speeds 12-16 mbps ,you never get the promised speeds throughout the day. even right now i am getting just 3-5 mbps.

     why do ISPs do this? come on! if you dont want to give constant speeds then why the hell do you have to make false promises?

when they visit your home for a demonstration, such good marketing skills, overselling their product, promising this and that. 

but when it comes to the connection, its very poor.

 

2) its a daily glitch in the connection. from timings 9 pm to 12 pm i always get very low speeds like 1 mbps and very high pings touching 200 ms. i've got to play online games , but with such a pathetic ping im not able to play the games properly. and this is very irritating!

and this happens everyday

 

3) when i had the airtel connection i used to watch alot of youtube, surf internet and the data limit was 8 gb. with these activities not even half of my data limit was used, and around 4-5 gb was left unused per month.seldom, i used to download movies because once the data limit was reached, then speed degraded to 256kpbs(reason to change spectranet ISP). using this connection, in last 1 week the 5 gb of data usage has been shown in my spectranet account(5gb data volume used)

i myself have downloaded around 700mb of data THAT'S IT! i can accept even if i had watched 1080p HD videos on youtube, i could accept that i could've consumed data but still cant find what has used 5gb. if it could've been a theft over wi-fi, but whenever i am at home i connect through LAN cable and switch of the wifi service and whenever im not at home i switch off the router. then how come 5 gb of data has been consumed?! and i cant buy this fact that ONLY net surfing at watching videos on youtube would've consumed so much of data. i really find that spectranet is a cheat on this part. 

 

if someone using the same net plans from spectranet and facing the same issues please reply and put forward some solutions to my problem, so as how to get the promised service from my ISP.

ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews

Hello Readers,

My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband.

I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263.

Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again.

I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week.

I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response.

Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband
1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in]
2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number.
3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so]
4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them
5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians]
6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service

Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

I have heard of portable DVD/CD players, but never used one. Right now I have got one at home, but it is not portable. I have to plug in the white, red and yellow cables into the back of my TV to watch CD/DVD on my TV. Is there any portable DVD/CD player that can play both audio CD/DVD and video CD/DVD as well. I want to use this portable player to watch movies on CD/DVD and listen to music on CD/DVD. I guess they run on batteries. Thanks.

AAP has already confirmed that Yogendra Yadav would be their candidate from Gurgaon. 

Current MP is Rao Inderjit Singh who won on a Congress seat but moved to BJP few months ago. 

 

And there are now reports that Congress might field Sharmila Tagore as their candidate from Gurgaon.

I am guessing AAP has a good shot in Gurgaon if this is what the situation looks like. Though dad says that Rao has a very good reputation in the rural parts of Gurgaon. Hopefully the urban Gurgaon would vote for a smarter choice this time around!

Deadline reports that Fox made quick work of replacing their vacant director's chair and will likely be able to keep their July 18th, 2014 release date as a result. Fans should be familiar with Singer's work as he wrote and directed both 2000′s X-Men and 2003′s follow-up, X2. He also turned in the script for Vaughn's X-Men: First Class along with an ensemble of other writers, including Vaughn. We also got confirmation of the title from Singer recently. It follows the 1980s' comic storyline written by Chris Claremont that alternates between a present day battle against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline where an assassination of a government official has led to Sentinels roaming the land and mutants held prisoner in internment camps.
The cast from the original film is expected to return, including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

The show is doing wonderfully well. I personally love it. It's different, no cheap comedy and pure entertainment.

 

TRP wise it's doing extremely well. Currently at the top in it's category (even above the likes of KBC, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, etc.) and overall 3rd.

A young, beautiful and rich girl, Dimpy Singh (Madalsa Sharma), approaches Samrat Tilakdhari (Rajeev Khandelwal), a private investigator, with a strange case. Their garden got ruined for reasons that appear natural but are not known; leading horticulturists have examined the fading plants but they have not been able to identify the probable reason. Further, her father's favorite horse died; once again the reason for the pre-mature death remains a mystery. That's not the end; Dimpy's father Mahendra Pratap Singh (Girish Karnad), otherwise a very strong and balanced man, has been experiencing deteriorating health. All these aspects when combined makes the case sound weird and that grabs the attention of Samrat.

Samrat along with his assistant friend, Chakradhar Pandey (Gopal Datt), visits the huge estate of Mahendra Pratap Singh. As he starts investigating, he discovers lots of mysterious facts. The story progresses when a murder takes place in the house, which leads to a series of events, complicating things for Samrat. Every character around seems to be hiding something.
