1) if FTTH is available in your area then definitely yes.
2) use your own. Their routers are crappy.
3) in mtnl you cannot get a connection without a land line AFAIK. You don't have to use it just keep it. There is no line rental as such.

I am using the Sify 2mbps broadband connection setup through D Link router in 5 computer. When I connect the sify, I'm unable to access the network computers. The message showing that "you might not have permission to access the network. Please contact the administrator". Can any one help me how to sort out this problem.

I was about to post the same problem. I have been facing this problem for a while now. I use DUMeter to measure the speed at all times, and I never seem to max-out on YouTube. Sometimes a video will load at 30+ KBps but midway it'll drop to 2KBps. It's very annoying.

yeap. jb roms for most Samsung phones (except S3) arent buttery smooth yet because of lack of HW Composer support. I tried it on the note and it was a bit laggy. Mass Storage wasn't working as well as you said.

There is a ghat near Kashmiri gate ISBT. A lot of people go there for such ceremonies. Following is the location on wikimapia:

Do note that Nigambodh Ghat Cremation ground is about 0.5 KM upstream from this location but still a lot of people come here for religious ceremonies. As far as taking a dip in river water, it is not at all recommended because water is so dirty.

If you are coming from Kashmiri gate ISBT on the ring road and traveling towards Red Fort, then on your left hand side there will be Nigam Bodh Ghat cremation ground. After that take left turn from the first cut and go straight for about 100 meters, then take right turn from dead end. Park your car right there. Climb the wall that separates ghats from road using staircase and river will be in front of you along with many small temples on river bank. You can even hire a boat for 20-50 rupees and go for a short ride in the river.
