“MAGIC:Multi tArget Graphical user InterfaCe”

Posted: 31 Jul 2011 12:20 PM PDT

MAGIC:Multi tArget Graphical user InterfaCe
[h=1]Title: [/h]“MULTI TARGET GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE”.
[h=1]Problem Statement:[/h]The system consists of a editor, parser for translating MAGIC script (similar to the XML language) into specified target language, which may be Java, C , or C#. The system must be expandable for inclusion of new languages also.

[h=1]Abstract:[/h]To work with a system, the users need to be able to control the system and assess the state of the system. Graphical user interfaces (GUI) accept input via devices such as computer keyboard and mouse and provide articulated output on the computer monitor. Magic Script develop by using XML tags so it’s similar to the XML language which is very easy to write and operate and easily understandable. In magic editor we can write this magic file having extension magic. If any syntax error occurs during writing of the magic script then it shows the error and once file is completed with error free by using convert option we get wizard having three option to convert this file into respective language by choosing the language. By the other way if our file is save already then directly open wizard select the file then going to next wizard choose the language in which we want to convert the file then choose the location where we want to save the target file and then finish we get the message of successfully converted and the file get converted. By using this conversion we reduce the burden of the user minds to learn more languages.

Previous Options:
There are some converters available in the market which converts one language into other language but not a single language which generate different language for different platform.
Proposed Solution:
We plan to design a simple user language MAGIC script (which is similar to XML language) with easy to understand constructs for designing a user interface. But, of course the user will not like only the GUI to be in a language other than the language in which he is developing an application. To overcome this issue we plan to implement a parser, to be written in .NET, which will convert this MAGIC script into a target language such as Java, C, C#. The system must be expandable for inclusion of new languages also.
[h=2][/h][h=2]Scope:[/h]1. The first and the foremost benefit of using MAGIC is the write once and compile it to any required language implementation approach. We write the input as a MAGIC script and can get output in C, Java , C #.
2. The script makes it easier for the developers to develop the code in multiple languages. MAGIC script also helps to reduce the development time as the input to output ration is around 1/3.
3. In this way you don’t have to remember programming constructs for 2-3 other languages. This take off the burden from programmers mind.

Editor:
We form the editor for MAGIC script which is similar to the .NET editor. That editor is form into .Net platform.
Error checker:
The parser has been implemented using .NET. It detects all the tokens described in MAGIC Script. It also checks for parsing errors.
Then a call is made to a function written in the referenced class based on which property or event is mentioned for that control. The code for the same is written in the output file by the called function.
Language: .NET, C#.

Final year project on cloud computing

Posted: 31 Jul 2011 12:16 PM PDT

ABSTRACT

This is project about Cloud Computing; in our project we are developing a Cloud to show the computing power of cloud and Virtual O.S. This cloud will be used to process a huge task on normal Pentium IV processor without using huge servers which is costly. To show this processing we will develop an Image processing application in which thousand or more images will be processed at time which is difficult to perform for a normal Pentium IV processor. Also this Cloud framework is not limited for image processing application this will be the general purpose cloud means any huge processing task can performed by just changing the input and dll required to process the task. Also we are providing a virtual O.S to show one of the cloud services named PaaS i.e Platform as a service. As now a day’s cloud vendors are working on providing a Cloud O.S we are using this concept and developing an Operating System which can be used online.

Future car technologies

Posted: 31 Jul 2011 10:57 AM PDT

[h=1]Future car technologies[/h]From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chevrolet Volt is a plug-in hybrid electric car that went on sale in 2010.

The Audi RSQ sports coupé from the 2004 film I, Robot, envisioned as being motivated by spherical "wheels"

The General Motors Hy-wire hydrogen car on display at the Test Track attraction atDisney World's Epcot

Potential future car technologies include new energy sources and materials, which are being developed in order to make automobiles more sustainable, safer, more energy efficient, or less polluting. Cars are being developed in many different ways.
With rising gas prices, the future of cars is leaning towards fuel efficiency, energy-savers, hybrid vehicles, battery electric vehicles and fuel-cell vehicles.

[h=2]Contents[/h]

[h=2]Advanced control[/h][h=2]Energy source[/h]Main article: Alternative fuel vehicle
One major problem in developing cleaner, energy efficient automobiles is the source of power to drive the engine. A variety of alternative fuel vehicles have been proposed or sold, including electric cars, hydrogen cars, compressed-air cars and liquid nitrogen cars.
In one experiment done to improve the future of cars, a new kind of battery was installed which can be easily removed, and recharged in two different ways. First, by a generator integrated with the IC and second by removing the cassettes so that they can be recharged off-board in the home ( Charters, Watkinson, Wykes, & Simpkin, 2008).
[h=2]Energy saver[/h]Conventional automobiles operate at about 15% efficiency. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and drive-train inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous.
Various technologies have been developed and utilized to increase the energy efficiency of conventional cars or supplement them, resulting in energy savings.
  • Regenerative braking technology saves and stores energy for future use or as back up power. When conventional brakes are used, 100% of the kinetic energy lost is converted to thermal energy, and dissipated in the form of heat. Regenerative braking recovers some of this energy to recharge the batteries in a hybrid vehicle.
  • BMW's Turbosteamer concept uses energy from the exhaust gases of the traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to power a steam engine which also contributes power to the automobile (Hanlon, 2005). This can increase energy efficiency by up to 15%.
  • Compressed air Hybrid is an engine made by researchers at Brunel University in Britain, which forces highly compressed air into the engine, which they claim reduces fuel consumption by 30%. [1]
  • Utilization of waste heat from D.W. as useful mechanical energy through exhaust powered steam, stirling engines, thermal diodes, etc.[1]
  • Using computational fluid dynamics in the design stage can produce vehicles which take significantly less energy to push through the air, a major consideration at highway speeds. The Volkswagen 1-litre car and Aptera 2 Series are examples of ultra-low-drag vehicles.

if you want to start a campaign..

Posted: 31 Jul 2011 12:22 AM PDT

what would your campaign be for? or what would campaign be against??

my campaign's agenda:
-would be for proper disposal and processing of waste ( both households and industries).
-to stop dumping of nuclear and other harmful materials by richer nations onto poor nations and using them as dump-yard..
-that would as well include educating people about ill effects of unhygienic dumping esp of plastics and food items.
-invest more into research work towards producing bio degradable products which needs lesser processing.
-invest in industries and products which are eco-friendly.

“MAGIC:Multi tArget Graphical user InterfaCe”

Posted: 31 Jul 2011 12:20 PM PDT

"MAGIC:Multi tArget Graphical user InterfaCe"
[h=1]Title: [/h]"MULTI TARGET GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE".

Magic Script develop by using XML tags so it's similar to the XML language which is very easy to write and operate and easily understandable.

3. In this way you don't have to remember programming constructs for 2-3 other languages.

As now a day's cloud vendors are working on providing a Cloud O.S we are using this concept and developing an Operating System which can be used online.

[h=2]Contents[/h]

[h=2]Advanced control[/h][h=2]Energy source[/h]Main article: Alternative fuel vehicle
The Volkswagen 1-litre car and Aptera 2 Series are examples of ultra-low-drag vehicles.

if you want to start a campaign..

what would your campaign be for? or what would campaign be against??

my campaign's agenda:
-would be for proper disposal and processing of waste ( both households and industries).
-to stop dumping of nuclear and other harmful materials by richer nations onto poor nations and using them as dump-yard..
-that would as well include educating people about ill effects of unhygienic dumping esp of plastics and food items.
-invest more into research work towards producing bio degradable products which needs lesser processing.
-invest in industries and products which are eco-friendly.

Do one need to be knowledgeable to be wise OR wise to be knowledgeable?

What would you rather be? Knowledgeable or Wise?

PS: Kindly support your answers with reason(s). This question was asked to me by a friend and I had to hit my brain(whatever is left of it) real hard. :p
