NAT & Fresh Install

I have installed NAT router between my new computer and the broadband connection. I did all the step by step procedure to install it. At the end the system says the system did not hook up behind the NAT and the system may come under attack. Even it didn't prompt me to install the Antivirus software. I am having Coship set top box. Since SunDirect was not sending any technician even after few reminders, I attempted to set it up myself and partly successful..

I get all the Channels from Measat 3 now. But the Signal Strength at Chennai shows 60 % and Quality only 45 %. No reception even during thick wet clouds. Now I have to improve this quality to 70 %.

Can someone tell me if I need to adjust elevation also and what is the best values you get in Chennai for this receiver- Signal Strength and Quality level?

The ISP would only have the MAC on their side if you used a PPP connection(DSL) direct from the PC/Laptop to the server to establish a connection, most cases the MAC of the modem/router is stored on the server, as it does the connecting for you. So it is highly unlikely that the ISP too would be of any help in locating the MAC of the laptop.

The only thing you could check is the router's DHCP Log, if it maintains one and see if it stores the MAC and IP allocations.
