ppshsdpa and pps3g dont work for mumbai. Have you tried them yourself first?

If they are working, what is their respective username and passwords? APN alone is not enough

Hi, I have a postpaid Airtel corporate plan, which seems to have pretty high roaming charges. I have to pay like 1 Re per minute for incoming and 1.5 Re per minute for outgoing. SMS outgoing in roaming is Re 1.5 per sms.
There is something called South Roaming by which Airtel claims I can reduce the roaming charges. But I cant seem to get info about it. Anyone aware?

3G has activated on my phone. However, the APN settings were accidentally deleted by myself. How do I get the 3G settings back?

If I SMS ACT 3G to 144 (since prepaid number), it says that 3G is already active. How do I get 3G settings as an active 3G user?

TS never leverages the Sky or Star factor unlike Zee. And why this happens remains a big mystery to me till date.

I mean yah, robust build of nokia hardware and awesome build of android would have taken it to higher level but Nokia would not budge..... belive if u do want to do suicide no body can stop you. I stopped using my tilt simple cause its windows. I love my andorid, But I think I will need another phone, The data and call simeltenously on this phone makes it go haywire a little.

no its still d same..m current using UT300R2U which is giving me 1.7 Mbps on speedtest and At1020 is giving .93 Mbps..

the spd on AT1020 drops suddenly..even if constand spd it gives around 1.4 Mbps max.Not more than that. All this on wired not wireless.
In UT300R2U just AnnexaM is disabled by default..is dat d prob but tried that also still no use. if this gets sorted out, wifi can work without any probs acc to me.

dude, i think airtel got some problem i was facing same problem form months, they changes all wires & cables but connection dropping was there, until i found a solution.
Change the DSL Modulation to G.DMT, in the router settings. you should be fine after that.

these days their lines are full of noise, my SNR use to be be 40+ now never cross 31, even with new cables.

Weirdly, torrents and downloads are fine. But surfing wise my 4 Mbps connection is acting like a 128Kbps, but some things still load like a 1-2 Mbps connection. These !@#$ers should spend money on improving their infrastructure and general QoS rather than throwing money at dumb ad agencies to come up with new logos a 4 year old could do a better job at.

Hello,

I was on the Postpaid 2G - 3GB for Rs 198 Data Plan in Delhi.
I sent ACT 3G to 111
3G was activated in 30 mins. The activation SMS confirmed that you can use 3G with your current 2G Data plan for the trial period till 10th April.
I use an Iphone 3GS
The phone connects to 3G with the same settings as for Mobile Connect on 2G (Access Point : www Username and Password Blank)
The signals for 3G are not stable though. The phone often goes back on to E from 3G.
I am not too impressed with 3G, the signals really fall when the phone logs to the 3G Network.
I used to curse my MTNL 3G Card for this, but Vodafone is the same.
When 3G works, the download speed is 1MBPS, Upload 10 kbps.

Now the big question is that if we do not want to use 3G with the higher 3G plans when the trial period ends, how do we deactivate it.
Surely I don't want to pay 850 for 3GB on 3G when I can pay 198 for 3GB on 2G.

Does anybody have any idea what is the way to deactivate 3G at the end of the trial period?
They might just move people who have activated 3G to the 850 plan without asking when the trial period ends.

Same thing happened with me. Don't worry Raj... the invalid xtv subscription goes away generally within first 24 hours. TS needs to add 'free plus usage' and 'free VoD' packages to your profile. Call center guys don't know anything about these packages. I am not sure who activates these things. I got it done when I escalated the ticket on call center. I demanded to talk to someone senior in call center and asked him to resolve my problem ASAP.

I think BSNL is right. They may have BTS having capacity of 21.1 mbps but that BTS may be connected with all BTS and from there, 21.1mbps will be distributed to all users in the whole city.

With new EGP software upgrade the logo has changed and which is a decent one and it does not interupt the score board so overall right move at the right time :thumb:

That's not true. It's not supposed to just record all airings of the same show - it's (or supposed to be) much smarter than that. AFAIK, series link info comes from the operator along with the electronic program guide so the STB knows which airings are repeats and which ones are actual first time telecasts.

And all this works fine for me for most shows in TS+. Only rarely does it actually record repeats or miss an episode (and usually that's because the operator doesn't provide accurate info).

Ok, its all fine now.....at around 6:30, all channels were working.

But dont understand the reason behind such a wierd situation.

I too have TS+ HD...seems to me that they are still squashing some bugs. Lets wait for 10-15 days ...hopefully the next update should make it work smoother

& NO, it should not be recording all the eps including repeats.AFAIK They aren't ment to do that.
Many other prgrams I linked work fine. Only the new eps get recorded & not the repeats.

When will TATA come up Unlimited Data Plans at 3G speeds , 15 GB (at 3G Speeds) for 2000 Rs. is too much.
Because if i recharge with that plan then Data Usage will finish in 1 Day because i am a Downloading Freak!!!

So after a few fights with the airtel customer service, finally they had replaced my modem. (the funny part being that they failed to recognise their own modem). As expected it was a repaired one (Binatone DT845W) with shitty reception and frequent hangups. so i am planning to buy a router with my own money and replace the airtel one with it. i wanted to ask what all routers are compatible with airtel ipTV? My current connection includes a wired ethernet connection to my desktop, wireless 802.11g to my netbook and ipod and wired connection to airtel ipTV STB. in the gist of it, which would be the best modem to replace my current modem so that i can have my wired and wirelss connections working perfectly and have no headaches in configuring for the ipTV?

BIS with 3G : Need Review

Ok. now I m on bold 9000 which has 3G HSDPA connectivity. My previous handset was 8520 which wasn't 3G enabled handset.

After switching to new device with 3G as preferred network. One word. It sux. My bbm getting delayed 8- 10 mins. Receiving mail after 45-60 mins delay. And browsing ...don't ask. Not even
able to open Google. Don't know it could be temp. Issue with their overloaded 3g servers. Lets just wait and watch.

So I manually selected to 2G. And everything woks smoothly. Bbm,mails are now instant. Sites just loads fine on 2g network.

Inshort do not take BB 3G BIS plan from Bsnl.they activated my bis after 1 week from recharge date. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I m switching back to my old vodafone bis from next month.

so u guys telling like we are trapped by recharging 4200rs..it is not at all fair for telling 3.6 mbps or more speed at the beginning and capped to 1mbps...

i am from trivandrum and even satisfied with my download speeds between 100-200kB/sec...But i am not satisfied with the browsing speed ..it drastically reduces than a gprs connection...its not value for money if the browsing speeds continued like this...

Hey people, I have downloaded a game "vyruz: destruction of the untel empire" using bittorrent, and it's minimum 12 years old. Its company, Chili Con Valley, is nowhere to be found and I have no way of ordering it. But it still has a copyright of 1998. Then is it legal? Looking on the other side, downloading US content in India is legal, in other words, "not illegal". From copyright point of view, will it be safe to keep this game with me?

1. Beam Cable is really worst service. I am also beam customer My account no 164378. Am Paid 1200/- for 3 months, After 45 days they are disconnected service without intimation . The Customer care executive said resolve your problem with in 24 hours, but the problem is not rectified from one week.

3G Settting for Win 7 with my nokia 3g mobile.

Hi all,
I am using nokia 5630 which supports 3G upto 10.2 Mbps. When i connect thruogh the pc suite, it gets connected only at 480 Kbps, which is the edge speed i guess. Is there any setting for Win 7 to get connected in 3G speed? I am using airtel 3G.

Just confirmed. MTNL is secretly capping HSDPA speeds to 384 kbps or 0.4 mbps. When I am roaming in BSNL 3G network, I still get same speed. But if I use BSNL sim, I get 2 mbps speeds on same network. Jeez.
Planning to cut my sim card when balance is over. I don't even want to go through the hassle of porting my number.
